Freight & Shipping Policy

We ship large, heavy products through major third-party LTL trucking companies. Before we ship your product, you must agree to our shipping and freight policy. Most accessories ship via UPS or FedEx.

  • Fans, Wall Panels, and other accessories ship in 1-2 business days from order approval date.

  • Free Shipping: Select products ship free within the 48 contiguous U.S. states.

  • Shipping Terms: All orders ship F.O.B. point of shipment. Delivery dates are estimates only.

  • Delays & Costs: NAKS is not responsible for removal costs, shipping expenses, or delays caused by factors beyond its control.

  • Freight Deliveries:

    • Includes a free “call before delivery” service.

    • Customers are responsible for redelivery or storage fees if missed or unreachable.

  • Freight Forwarders:

    • Provide booking and contact details before shipment.

    • NAKS is not liable for freight damage not noted on the bill of lading or damage occurring while in the forwarder’s care.

  • Liftgates:

    • For trucking shipments, liftgate service is an optional, paid service. Liftgate service is only guaranteed when it is requested and prepaid with NAKS before shipment.

    • IF YOU HAVE NOT PREPAID NAKS FOR LIFTGATE SERVICE, YOU ARE RESPONSIBILITY FOR PAYING THE DRIVER OR CARRIER DIRECTLY FOR ANY LIFTGATE USED AT DELIVERY.  ANY UNAPPROVED LIFTGATE OR RELATED CHARGES THAT THE CARRIER BILLS TO NAKS WILL BE BILLED BACK TO YOU.

    • For freight longer than 5 feet (80" L x 60" W), NAKS cannot guarantee that a liftgate will be available or used. Liftgate availability and use in these situations is at the sole discretion of the driver and the carrier’s safety policies.

    • Some terminals don’t allow liftgate use for safety reasons

    • You may still need equipment or extra labor to unload the truck, even with a liftgate.

Your Shipping Responsibilities:

  • Unloading: You must arrange the equipment or labor needed to offload upon delivery. Note: some terminals don’t allow liftgate use for safety reasons. You may still need equipment or extra help to unload the truck, even with a liftgate.

  • Inspection: Inspect all items before signing the delivery receipt.

    • If any damage is found, refuse the damaged items, note the damage on both delivery receipts, and contact us immediately.

  • Concealed damage: If damage is found after delivery, file a claim with the carrier within 5 business days.

  • Claims & Charges: Once you sign the delivery receipt, you release the trucking company and North American Kitchen Solutions from responsibility for missing or damaged items. Additional charges for refused or rescheduled deliveries, liftgate use, or inside delivery are your responsibility.
